First time windsurfers: A beginner or "first time" lesson is a great way to experience and taste windsurfing. New windsurfing beginner gear can cost $1400 to $2000. Used gear can be found for less. There is a lot of used gear on the market, and 95% of the time it is inappropiate for beginners. Even with all the gear you will still need to figure out how to use it. And there is no garuantee that you will like it. These are typical concerns "interested" windsurfers have.

If you are flirting with the idea of windsurfing, simple take a lesson. Windsurf Utah will provide the gear, knowledge, and wind. Goal #1 have fun and enjoy the lake, sun, and wind.

A typical first lesson runs about 2.5 to 3 hours. About an hour is spent on the beach for some land instruction. The last two hours are spent on the water practicing your newly learned skills.
